**Overview**
**THE ROLE:**
The Senior Director of Global Safety and Security will lead Herbalife's global security and employee safety programs. This leader will set strategic direction, align initiatives with corporate objectives, and ensure operational continuity globally. They will assess protocols and develop strategies to improve and sustain these functions. A key aspect involves building and empowering a high-performing distributed team of security, safety, and risk professionals. Promote teamwork to handle security and risk in all regions, crafting a safe environment and encouraging safety culture.
**HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE:**
- Develop and implement a detailed global security and safety plan aligned with Herbalife's values and business objectives.
- Lead the development of security and safety governance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
- Oversee global security operations, including facility security, travel risk management, executive protection, and event security.
- Provide mentorship, leadership, and direct support to business leaders, managers, and front-line personnel on identifying security threats and implementing risk-mitigating behaviors and protocols.
- Create a culture of security and safety risk awareness that empowers secure and safe behavior in all situations.
- Serve as the subject matter expert and advisor to executive leadership on physical security, safety, business continuity, and crisis response.
- Ensure effective Environmental Health & Safety programs are in place for all Herbalife's US facilities, offices, and labs, and ensure programs follow required laws, regulations, and standards.
o Monitor and report on safety metrics, driving continuous improvement in workplace safety and employee wellbeing.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing, geographically distributed security and safety team:
o Implement continuous training and professional development programs.
o Further a collaborative and inclusive team culture.
o Set clear performance goals and provide regular feedback.
- Maintain and continuously improve Herbalife's emergency and incident response programs and business continuity.
- Partner closely with Legal, HR, Compliance, IT Security, and ERM to identify and mitigate risks across the organization.
- Ensure all security and protective activities follow all local, national, and international security-related laws and regulations and ethical boundaries.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**
**SKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:**
- Extensive and proven experience in security, covering all aspects of the role-including protection of physical assets, personnel, and emergency response preparedness.
- Demonstrated success in crafting and implementing strategic security and safety initiatives within large, decentralized organizations.
- Respected and dynamic leader who applies business fields, operational focus, and strong core values to every facet of the role.
- Outstanding communication skills across all levels of engagement (internally and externally) with the ability to listen, influence, and adapt using good judgment and practical intelligence.
- An agile professional with a background in inventive problem-solving and the ability to navigate complex challenges with insight and flexibility.
- Conducts business with honesty, visibility, and respect for others.
- Self-reliant and confident, with the ability to operate autonomously while ensuring alignment with executive leadership.
- Upholds the highest standards of personal integrity, with a consistent track record of ethical and principled decision-making.
**EXPERIENCE:**
- More than 12+ years of strategic experience in corporate and/or global security, encompassing operational leadership, risk management, and organizational protection across diverse environments.
- Validated experience collaborating with Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) and Business Continuity teams to ensure organizational resilience and regulatory compliance.
- Demonstrated success operating in global contexts, including high-risk and sophisticated environments.
**EDUCATION:**
- Bachelor's degree in business administration/management, Security Management, Occupational Safety, or related field.
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:**
- Master's degree in business administration (MBA), Security management, or a related field.
- Experience in regulated industries such as food, pharmaceuticals, or manufacturing is highly desirable.
- Proven record of managing enterprise-level security programs in multinational corporations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
