**Job Title: Meter Technician** **Job Description** A company is seeking mechanically inclined and tech-savvy Meter Technicians to join our growing team in San Diego County. You will be responsible for installing and servicing water meters across new and existing properties, ensuring accurate diagnostics and customer satisfaction. This is a field-based role with significant drive time and autonomy. **Responsibilities** + Complete approximately 7 work orders daily, with a goal of 1 per hour. + Install new water meters and diagnose issues. + Turn water on/off and repressurize meters. + Maintain accurate records using NetSuite. + Provide excellent customer service during site visits. + Travel throughout the Bay Area using a company-provided vehicle. **Essential Skills** + Must have a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and a clean driving record. + 1+ years of experience within plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, water treatment, or metering. + Proficient in utilities, mechanical, and plumbing work. + Ability to use hand tools and perform construction tasks. + Mechanically inclined. + Experience with HVAC and meter reading. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Proficiency in Excel. + Experience with plumbing or irrigation. + Soldering skills. **Why Work Here?** Our company offers a family-oriented atmosphere with a motivated crew and strong leadership involvement. You will be working independently in the field, utilizing tools and equipment supplied by the company. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Jose, California. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
