Seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Industrial Painter to prepare, paint, and finish surfaces of industrial equipment, machinery, and structures.
The ideal candidate will have experience with various painting techniques and equipment, including spray guns, brushes, and rollers, and be knowledgeable about surface preparation, coatings, and safety protocols. Key Responsibilities: Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, grinding, masking, or sandblasting. Apply paint, varnish, coatings, or other finishes using spray guns, brushes, rollers, or other tools. Mix and match paints and coatings to achieve the desired color, consistency, and texture. Apply primers and sealants before painting to ensure long-lasting finishes. Inspect finished surfaces for quality and touch up as necessary. Operate and maintain painting equipment, tools, and ventilation systems. Follow all safety protocols, including use of PPE and proper disposal of hazardous materials. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and work orders. Perform minor repairs on surfaces before painting, such as filling cracks or holes.
Qualifications: High school diploma or GED preferred. 1–3 years of experience as an industrial painter or similar role. Familiarity with various painting techniques (airless, HVLP, etc.) and equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Basic understanding of safety and environmental regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA). Physical ability to stand, crouch, and lift heavy equipment or materials (up to 50 lbs). Certification in industrial painting or coatings (NACE, SSPC) is a plus. Use of PPE such as respirators, gloves, goggles, and protective suits required.
