What You'll Do as a Drywall Finisher:

  • Apply tape, multiple coats of compound, skim coats, and sanding to achieve Level-4 or Level-5 standards with flawless, seamless finishes.
  • Patch damaged drywall, sand rough areas, and occasionally create custom textures, primers, or specialty finishes as specified.
  • Fit corner beads and integrate high-end details like shadow gaps, LED cove lighting, Fry Reglet, and mud-in flush-mount fixtures.
  • Coordinate with framers, hangers, electricians, cabinetry installers, designers, and other contractors to ensure walls are perfectly prepared for final finishes.
  • Inspect finished surfaces for uniformity, adapt to feedback, and deliver professional, courteous service on every project.
  • Work full-time, Monday-Friday (40-50 hrs/week) with occasional Saturdays

 

Our Ideal Drywall Finisher:

  • Experienced: At least two years of experience in drywall finishing, repair, and patching, with proficiency in drywall techniques like cutting, taping, finishing, and texturing, is required
  • Tools & Equipment: Familiarity with power sanders, drywall knives, and taping tools; additional finish work experience is a plus.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong ability to achieve a smooth, flawless finish with precision, ensuring all work meets the highest standards.
  • Customer-oriented: Strong communication skills with a positive attitude and commitment to exceeding client expectations.
  • Safety-minded: Knowledge of safety regulations and ability to follow all safety procedures, including mandatory use of PPE. OSHA-10 or OSHA-30 certification is preferred.
  • Independent Worker: Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of tasks.
  • Tech Savvy: Comfortable learning and using Builder Trend for project management and documentation.
  • Active: Able to lift up to 50+ lbs., bend, kneel, and work from a ladder.
